The North Vancouver Community Arts Council presents an exhibition of work by two North Vancouver artists: photographer Jules Stirling and mixed media craft artist Christine Hood.
Jules Stirling’s Landscape Study Series reflects both softness and depth with a tranquil, ethereal quality. Her photo series are shot during the day with an infrared camera utilizing different exposure lengths on natural expanses of water, trees and sky.
Inspired by her everyday experiences and environment, Christine Hood’s latest work is based on her interaction with nature, objects and wildlife. Using primarily metal, ceramic, textiles, paper and found objects, her artwork juxtaposes many ideas and mediums. This series focuses on a palette of shades in black, white and silver.
