This class is a fun opportunity to learn the basics of wheel throwing and even get to take home some usable pieces of pottery. The beginner class will be the focus on centering skills and throwing straight wall cylinders. Once these cylinders have been perfected we will open them up into a variety of shapes. We will learn how to produce handles for a variety of uses and the fired products will be glazed. This class will consist of low fire clays and glazes. The Centre for Craft & Design provides all tools, equipment, glazes and firings. Students must purchase clay from the Centre.
