The Craft Council is pleased to announce a call for applications for a new craft residency opportunity. Studio space will be available in the Factory Building restored and renovated by the Sir William F. Coaker Heritage Foundation in Port Union. Timing is September / October 2015. Applications are due August 17, 2015. Click HERE for details.
A craft residency involves a studio space where a craftsperson can develop his or her own work, a series of workshops and mentoring to benefit local craft makers, and an artist talk and school visit to involve the whole community.
This residency is offered with the support of the Coaker Foundation and the Cultural Craft Development Project. Visit www.culturalcraft.com for information about the work that a local partnership has been doing to advance craft on the Bonavista Peninsula.
