July 6 - August 14
Join us for the opening reception of Since Their Service on Thursday, July 9 at 7pm in the Loft at Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design.
Since Their Service is a photography exhibit by Cape Breton photographer Charlie Morrison. This exhibition of work appeals to all residents of Cape Breton that have been affected by the closure of the Veterans Affairs office in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
Although Charlie is not a veteran, he holds great respect for those who have served and wants to contribute in the only way he knows how – through photography.
Since Their Service highlights the difficulties veterans are experiencing due to the aforementioned closure. Stop by the Centre’s Loft from July 6 – August 14, 2015 to view this exhibition of work.
Charlie Morrison practices paramedicine and has been taking photographs for over 15 years. Charlie has learned his techniques from trial and error, reading, exposing himself to new challenges and associating himself with other professional photographers in Cape Breton. Charlie shoots in both black and white as well as colour, with varying subject matters including scenic, street, travel, wildlife and socially conscious photography.
