Off the Ground II Seminar 4

Experiential learning, To Market to Market

With the professional support and guidance from the Craft Council Clay Studio Coordinator, Retail Shop Manager and other craft business professionals, ceramic artists will work together to sell their pottery at the annual Craft Council Christmas Craft Show. This process will require each participant to create a cohesive body of work ready for a retail setting, have your work juried by the Craft Council, as well as prepare print material and manage the business of retailing a product. A display booth will have to be designed and fabricated for the Christmas Craft Fair. These workshops are designed for crafts people in various stages of their development and in some cases applicable to disciplines outside of ceramics.

This series has four seminars; you can register for each individually, or save money, by registering for all four at once.

Seminars series include:

1. Developing a New Body of Work for Exhibition and Sale (9hrs)

2. Designing and Creating Marketing and Promotional Materials for Your Craft Business (3 hr seminar focusing on DIY Moo and Vista Print)

3. Preparing Application for Standards Assessment (3 hrs)

4. Craft Fair Participation, Display and Booth Design (6 hrs)

4. Craft Fair Participation, Display and Booth Design (6 hrs)
